The main activities organized are for gatherings to embrace French culture and language and also to act as an informational nucleus for French students as well as all UM-D students.

Since 1971 Lyceum has served as the showcase for the creative talents of writers and artists at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. This literary and fine arts journal is student-produced and published semi-annually. There is one full-color edition during both the fall and winter semesters. Poetry, prose, drama, photographs, paintings, drawings, sketches, and graphic art may be submitted for the perusal of the editorial staff. There is no limit to the length of each submission nor to the number of pieces which may be submitted; however, preference will be given to shorter pieces to insure a higher number of participants in each issue. Artwork and photography submitted can be in either black-and-white or color. Lyceum staff members are encouraged to submit their works as well, however no preference is given to their entries. All submissions, which retain their anonymity during the rating process, are critiqued individually by the staff and the editors. Students, staff, faculty, and alumni are all invited to submit their works. The deadlines for consideration are in mid-October for the fall issue and mid-February for the winter issue. Extensions are discouraged.

The Women in Learning and Leadership (WILL) program is designed to develop the analytical abilities and skills of undergraduate women to promote their will to be community leaders.
